Had a similar problem when I was trading one defender on another. I had mentioned prices for the trade and people were commenting. Got a rap on the knuckles.
Perhaps a section in the markets for "What is it worth?" then that way if people are really just canvassing for a sale it doesn't really matter? It would be handy getting feedback from experienced members on occasion but understand that it would need to be controlled to not stuff up the rest of the forum.
Can some one explain why "canvassing for a sale" is not accepted.
I to have posted similar before and was directed to the Markets but was only interested in finding out what some thing is worth.
Some times it's nice to know what ball park figure your car is worth before you look further into another purchase.

it was abused to the point of being commercial activity and when fronted they would never pay the vendors sub so...
like dullbird said... a few spoiled it for the many.
FWIW values given on this place always seem to be well below general market prices anyway...

i suppose we could trial an area for subscribers only in the markets and see how it goes..
