    Darwin Awards

I don't know if it's been mentioned here before but "Darwin Awards" relate to people individually assisting the evolution process by trying to eliminate their own genes......

    here is yet another candidate...

    Not a candidate at all.

To receive a Darwin Award, you have to actually remove yourself from the gene pool and die!

If one survives the best one can get is an honourable mention.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

arguable IMHO, but only if one was to remove their ability to reproduce through the activity, I'd say it qualifies ;-)

He was in his mid 50's thus might be too late. His genes are most likely out there.

After reading some of the prior Darwin Awards this fella's level of stupidity is rather minor. My favourite was a bloke that bolted a rocket to his car and launched it on a straight line of highway only to find that the rocket had a mind of its own and shot him off the road into an embankment. It's worth reading the Darwin Awards every now and then, especially when you feel stupid and silly. Puts your silliness into perspective.

have a great Friday arvo, I'm off to the pub!

    cheers MLD

No Dawin award as she had two children

Sad in so many ways this one! No Dawin award as she had two children

Female doctor, 32, died after climbing into Dollar Tree freezer while DRUNK... now her family is suing the store for $50m

Her family is seeking a jury trial along with more than $50 million in damages against the manager and the chain.
According to the filing, the mom of two entered the Dollar Tree at 968 Southwest 8th Street on December 13 and was found dead inside a walk-in freezer the next day by an employee.
The anesthesiologist had no drugs in her system, the autopsy reported.
The report listed her cause of death as environmental hypothermia with ethanol use as a 'contributory cause.'

This is the kicker- Earlier this month, an officer told WPLG News that the freezer door was not blocked when Sanchez was inside and that it had an 'emergency release' allowing it to be opened from the inside.
