I didn't deflate my tyres, not did I have a snorkel, but with careful planning of the route and getting my mate to stand in the water to mark the REALLY deep section helped.

Only got bogged twice on the trip, 1st at the mud hole at the bottom of the steep entry at Gunshot, and 2nd at the beaches run out of Somerset near the tip.
yep Phil was in a D4.....opps I shouldnt say that should I as D4's dont go off road they are for possers with big caravans.

we bought a tarp for Nolands but never used it as we never realised it was Nolands until we got out the other side.

All our crossing were done slowly I have go pro footage of Nolands and Logans (the long way) from inside the car prospective..which also shows the water in the car.

our tyres were at 30's in the front and 40's in the back..thats how high ours were..phil never let his tyres down either however he has wider tyres and his floated across anyway
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......

The D3 was pretty much unstoppable. I had a set of Coopers STTs on and it just clawed its way out of just about everything that was thrown at it.

Yes I know what you mean, shame that most D3/D4s never get to flex their muscles off road.....

ha, after the impressive 4x4 action entry the egg landed squarely hey. I guess at least he was only embarrassed and wet.

Someone said it's amazing how people treat there car in remote areas, I dont think for a second they ponder on how they would get home. Most tilt trays rarely carry passengers, and if no not legally anyway. Try hiring a car to carry all you camping kit.
