I would say yes it seems like a mixture of economic uncertainty and fiscal stresses.
And my parents used to use the ' If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all' phrase a lot when we were growing up.
It is worth remembering all through your life.
...And for the up side of this post, I had a great and unexpected drive to the Hartz mountains over the weekend that resulted in some awesome snow driving, just have to get the pics off the phone :)

Mmmmm think I agree with JC in part. It's fun to watch though as people get all wound up about the most trivial and obscure matters as the thead goes way off the original topic. Bit like listening to some blokes in a pub or the rubbish in the media over the Olympic Games. Remember they are just "Games" not really that important in the great scheme of things and I think we should remember that the same applies to our vehicles. I love my RRC and endlessly spending money on trying to keep it going well but really its only a "car".
A lot of the problem is we're using the written word, and in a pretty hurried manner via a forum such as this, so intonation and tone is lost, or ignored.
Speaking as someone who copped the wrath of one of the posts I think Basil is alluding too.
Of course I didn't help either as rather then let it ride I became a little testy too
