You mean just like it was spin when BMW didn't promote LR as a German company, or Ford didn't fess up to them being "yank tanks"?
There is a great quote from Ratan Tata speaking when Tata bought JLR in 2008
Right from the start Tata have been about keeping JLR an iconic company, and four years down the track I think you'd have say they have done an amazing job of delivering on that promise.:“We are very pleased at the prospect of Jaguar and Land Rover being a significant part of our automotive business. We have enormous respect for the two brands and will endeavour to preserve and build on their heritage and competitiveness, keeping their identities intact. We aim to support their growth, while holding true to our principles of allowing the management and employees to bring their experience and expertise to bear on the growth of the business.”
cheers

got to remember advertising is all about selling an idea - hence the images of city driving, all sparkly and 'nice'
Funny that they dont show a young white family with beautiful complexion get out of one, like every other car ad out there.
re the no show for 110's - not to many in pitt st need a 110 i guess?
im pretty sure that no cute chicks (if i may use that term) look at me driving past in my puma and desire to own one.
Well I see it as defender is part of the fabric of the land rover story and rates a mention not just old file footage and if it's ment to be a new add for Australia maybe some footage from Australia would be a good start more in touch with reality
Actually... That 'Advert' was originally just an internal vid, used to raise awareness internally of some of the history behind the company.

lets be realistic.....how many of you out there would be inspired to buy a Land Rover after watching that?
