I just found out today one of our engineers at head office did his time with a bloke that I used to know, because he did his time with dear old dad.

The big boys get tetchy when an entire rack goes down.

They lost the LT rack in one of the local stores here six months ago.
It was out for a week. The poor local store tech was stressed to the hilt as it was an issue well above his pay grade, they had the original commissioner come in to sort it out.
The EXV's on the cascade heat exchanger (condenser) wouldn't play the game, and you cannot exceed about -2° in the CO2 condenser.

I dunno how Des would go, trying to find leaks with his halide leak detector, and spending all day looking for that bottle of R502,that went missing.
Oh, and the bottle of R12 the apprentice said was in the corner of the shed but cant seem to find it.[biggrin]

Anyway,he is sure to be a better worker than 90% of these young blokes, and shouldn't spend all day on Face Book[thumbsupbig]

I noticed out the back there were a heap of free standing freezer cabinets, brand new,4 door I think, on wheels, ready to go in, about 8 of them.
Four Danfoss compressor units sitting on top of each.

CO2 cascades aren't so bad, they're only R410a pressures but you cannot trap liquid anywhere or you are in deep do do. So you have to keep pressures above 60psi so you don't form dry ice.
