I find the usual culprit is something rotten in a rubbish bin somewhere, spread around by the AC.

No, the customers always say, its the AC,as they are the experts[biggrin]

Quite a few years ago, they rang on Christmas Day,from a place of paradise out Wacol way.

A domestic fridge was leaking water onto the floor.FFS.

He was also told politely to F off[biggrin]

These days, the phones are turned off on that day[biggrin]

As Ian said, if they are not paying, they don't give a hoot.

4am one morning the phone rang. A very grumpy partner answered but I could hear the voice from bed, She just turned and said "it's for you"

A bakery rang, all the client kept saying was " "the coolroom's leaking!"
What??!! Has one of the boys run a trolley into the blower?
Is it still cooling?? What's the temp atm? How much stock do you have in it?

"Noo, it's dripping water into the floor, come and fix it!!"

"It's just dripping."

Yep, had a few of those on that day.
One Christmas dad was visiting from Brisbane and he grabbed the phone before I could.
He straight up told them it was a $150 service call fee and $150/hr. [emoji50]
This was around 1993!
