Man who threw fridge off Spanish cliff ordered to drag it back up - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

Gone are the good old days of fridge disposal. Not only did he and his mate have to retrieve it, he also got a 45 000 Euro fine, and got his company into trouble as well.

I wonder if the Authorities can do that for bush land abandoned cars in Oz?

Hang on, that'd be a bit too easy. Maybe the cars could be pushed over a cliff first & then the miscreants ordered to lift them back up? No winches, no mates just the miscreants.

    They’re the new Clipsal connectors
    Ok with earth
Some of the other single screw connectors are good as long as the screw takes up 80%+ of the tunnel
Internal machine wiring can drop gauge without protection

Tenants around here seem to put dead fridges, washers, dryers out on the footpath. Housing Commission tenants just leave them on the front "lawn" along with a Falcon engine or two. Dead outboard motors get clamped to a veranda rail and left to decompose.

I bet the fine was so large because they were dumb enough to film and post it in the first place...

They could be a knock off, they're out there. I'm not convinced by the pic that the terminal is compliant - and that's what you'd need to prove to the Inspector as well - easier to use a twin screw job as it can be seen straight up and without questioning or argument but you could be right. I'm more old school - and most of the Inspectors I deal with are too - if someone doesn't use a twin screw connector on an earth it will attract more attention and make the installing Electrician look lazy - but judging but the rats nest in there, that second one doesn't seem to bother whoever did this.

My wholesaler doesn’t stock the two screws anymore
It’s the inspectors that told me about the 80% rule even before Clipsal stopped making the two screw connectors

I was in Woolies at Warwick today and saw a bloke working on the gubbins above the fruit and veg chiller. I thought it might have been Rick, but then I realised the fellow knew what he was doing.

You bitch 58i. Just wait until your one ****s itself in the middle of Summer & then you'll be hollerin' for a Fridgie of any sort. Qualified or bottom of the barrel, it will matter not in your hour of need.
