Christ! Basil Fawlty lives![smilebigeye] I can just hear him saying that in his best Nazi voice.[biggrin]Quote:
Actually,we probably shouldn't as there are regs that should be followed, and qualifications that are needed, and licenses that are also needed,Bla,Bla.
It wasn't meant in a monetary sense but more of a luckless sense.
I know, I should have been a Q Copper.[biggrin]
Ah Dave, I see you've rumbled my use of the word "Luckless"? [biggrin]
So i fitted the bullet valve and got a can of freezer spray from Jaycar (R134a) , made an adapter and added refrigerant 10g at a time till it started cooling.
Cabinet temp started at 30c and now down to 13c, i set it to 2c so will keep an eye on it.
There was still pressure in the lines so didn't appear to be any leakage, i wasn't keen on the valve placement as it looked vulnerable so i made some 40mm spacers to space the grille out.
So, so far so good. Great.[smilebigeye] Is the gas in the can the same quantity as the label on the machine?
These systems are critically charged so it will want to be as close as buggery is to swearing for it to operate satisfactorily although it sound pretty good so far..
A close visual indicator when it is down to temp is the "sweat" or frost line before it enters the comp.
If it is there you are close.
We will make a Fridgie out of yet so long as you can manage the other attributes.[biggrin]
