We did one about 6 months ago,i recon they are going to stop making them soon.

HEatcraft have a new model Paragon electronic timer, but we haven't used one,and they don't sell the oldie.

Actrol still have the oldie, but no pressure terminating model any more.

It's funny, all the gear I work on now has full scale electronic/computer controls up the wazoo, but the racks and the big built up DX A/C systems still have some mech HP/LP controls as limit safeties!

The chillers have been full electronic since about 2000 going off the old York and Carriers I service.

The electronics are good, the hard wired leak detectors are set for 50ppm and they pick up leaks!
Had one on a Coles rack today, bloody Schrader and cap on a liquid line ball valve had a tiny leak, one of the fixed detectors in the plant room alarmed.

If we relied solely on the low liquid alarm on the receiver we wouldve lost at least 60kg of 404.

Bloody hell, another one of my old favourites gone. First it was Marylin Monroe then Audrey Hepburn & now Paragon Defrost Time clocks.

    Is nothing sacred anymore?

Yeah, they must have been size 25 & fell off. I hope they didn't land on some poor bastard's head.
I wonder if he needed them gone so he could shin up the drainpipe?

To be honest, me & my Fridgie mates should be more concerned, not with his safety so much, but more that he didn't do an oil trap in the suction line, assuming the fan coil was inside the adjacent room & the Condensing Unit was up on the roof.

    Bloody tradies!

    Bloody tradies!

And I'm worried about filings in the suction line as he's using a file to remove the burr!

Critical bunch of buggers, aren't we!

There are none so perfect as a ****ed Fridgie, Rick.

It's what sets this hardy breed apart from the rest of humanity. Attributed to Wordsworth, Elvis Hank. 2019

Re Filings. Well spotted, not a tube cutter in sight.

One wonders as one does, is that guy really Paul in the flesh? Paul is a Greek name & that bloke looks Greek. See where I'm going with this?
