They are double that price at the local suppliers,but yes,i need to get them off Ebay,but we don't use many,just a few a year.

Started getting capacitors off Fleaby,bloody cheap,and arrive the next day,and they have every type you could ever want

And same brand as local suppliers,not rubbish

Could you let me have the contact details for the Capacs please? I needed one a couple of weeks ago for the House Water Pressure pump & had to chase around for it.

We use a few,but mostly 'Element 14'

Google is your friend.

So we had to get on the flat roof of a single level building today on a site that has their own small cherry picker.
After providing all our licenses,and our SWMS,we had to read a 20 page Safe Operating Procedure for EWP.
Then do an EWP checklist,of 15 pages.
Then fill out their SWMS which was 6 pages.

And have 2 techs,and one 'watcher'

The roof wouldn't be 3.5M off the ground,and as said,its flat.

They were on eBay,as Element 14,but now i use the Element 14 site.
Sorry don't have the site address with me,just google Element 14,or element 14 motor capacitor and type in motor capacitor in the search bar.

Yep.two techs,three hours,plus call out,just to work out an AC has faulty PCB's,and condenser fan motor.
The usual for inverter AC units.

Just imagine the quote to come back and fix the friggin thing,parts $1200,two guys,5 hours each, plus GST.
Including doing all the paperwork again.

Oh well they love to waste money...

We were at this site a couple of months ago and the log book for the EWP was out of date,the machine was way overdue for a service,so we told them we couldn't use it,and billed them for being stuffed around.

We can also play their game.

BTW, ELEMENT 14, a great range of Capacitors as you said. Most look very familiar as well.

What can you wise fellows tell me about this gadget? I can't find a condensation drain, the baseplate floods then overflows down the wall, both internal and external.

Hi Ian, Most "Roomies" use a "spinner ring" on the outside fan blade to lift the condensate & throw it onto the outdoor fan coil aiding a better efficiency by evaporation.

This ring is attached to the tips of the blades so it able to dip into the water held in metal pressings of the base pan.

At the same time there is normally a 3/8" or 1/2" drain located on the rear edge to take care of any excess water.

This may have been blocked by someone or is blocked by rubbish although if heavy rain is blown into the louvres the water can build up quickly & the fan cannot handle the evaporation rate required to keep the pan clear so over it goes, usually via the lowest point of the tray.

Some pans have a low level "cutaway" in the edge to facilitate the overflow but if the AC has not been installed with a suitable drainage fall it still can lead to water buildup. Place a smallish spirit level on the casing or base pan to check for correct fall.

NB.I am assuming it is a normal box type ac but if it is a split High Wall system I would suspect the drain hose is blocked or has a rise in it's level to waste. It may need a blowback but then don't we all? That model means nought to me so you'll need to play it by ear.

Looks like a Wall mounted High wall split. Check the points raised by the Manufacturer. It could have been written for you.
