    Key points:

    • Schools across Queensland cannot use the air-conditioning units that have been installed until their networks are upgraded
    • The State Government program promises to provide air-conditioning and expand solar panels at public schools
    • Education Minister Grace Grace said the networks will be upgraded over the school holidays
I have mentioned this on here previously.

Its another complete stuff up by the Government.
    Nothing new there.
And no it wont be sorted over the holidays, some schools, are 18 months away from having transformers installed by Energex.
Lead time by Energex for a transformer is usually sometime between 6 to 12 months, at least.

There is also the major issue of who is going to pay for the repairs and maintenance of these units?
Public schools are generally short of money for any maintenance and repairs.
Also the power these Ac units use will be huge, there is no way solar will provide the power needed.

I know of a local school that has masses of solar panels on the roof of a couple of blocks.
The system hasn't worked for years, as they cant afford to have it repaired.

    Blue card came today
Seems after all these years we have to have one for working in schools.
Even though we don’t work with children.

That’s on top of the”Mandatory all staff training key messages guide”to be done annually
    Police check done annually.
Full Correctional Services check done at each center every 12 months as well.

Had a bit of a laugh today, fire guys who work on some of our sites, have a new supervisor.
She had done all the checks,as above.

Went to a mining site near Dysart, yesterday, failed the drug test.

I knew a bloke who failed a drug test in a transport yard. He was escorted to his car in the car park and allowed to drive home! No duty of care?
Three days later, the lab results came back negative, he was refused compensation.

Not surprised SOLD OUT, $30 notes is a good price for that lot.

Then again, Ian, looking over your shoulder & seeing what a doddle it was has bought up the lot & intends starting up his own AC business.

I trust you didn't discuss Passwords to operate this kit?

Bloody hell, Queensland is not still practicing the olde Squirrel Magic is it? How outmoded is that these days, assuming it is the bit about secretly finding a place to hide his nuts?
