Was some criticsm of the admission prices in the ABC radio commentary. What family is going to pay $100 to sit on a hillside in the sun drinking overpriced drinks, when they could stay home in the aircon and watch it on the big screen?

I heard much the same comment on the Channel 9 commentary. As Hobart doesn't figure frequently on the Test tour calendar, people don't make an effort when a Test does swing into town. I guess they don't generally get the big ones (correct me if I'm wrong), like Ashes tests or SA?

From that impeccable source of info - [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bellerive_Oval"]Bellerive Oval - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame] - it seems the biggest crowds they get are ODIs and T20Is

Well... time will tell. No guarantee the Aussies wouldn't be in the same situation if they were batting! That's what you've got to love about test cricket - you really can't tell how a side is going until they've both had their turn, and sometimes you really have no idea up until the last ball.

Certainly seems to be in the Aussies favour at the moment, but who's to know? Good to watch nonetheless. Not a boring game so far.

But spare me the bloody 3D angle crap they've started with. What a load of bollocks. Showing something from 3 different camera angles and calling it revolutionary? Give me a break. ;-)

I think we'll be finding out what Australia can do very shortly... it certainly isn't looking very good for Sri Lanka at this very moment. 8 for 147 in the second session... must say the pitch doesn't exactly look lively though does it?
