THE Border-Gavaskar Trophy may be heading to Mumbai, but that may not be such a bad thing.
If it was on the way to Brisbane, Queensland Cricket would not have any room to squeeze it into a jam-packed display cabinet.
While some of Australia's Test cricketers have become a laughing stock, Queensland's players are the toast of a proud state in an echo of the Bulls' glory days of the 1990s.
News Limited has snapped the first photographs of all three interstate cricket trophies at Queensland Cricket headquarters, with wicketkeeper Chris Hartley wearing a smile as wide as Luna Park.
The Big Bash League and Ryobi Cup trophies won this season have taken pride of place alongside the Sheffield Shield replica the Bulls collected last season.
The Bulls still have some unfinished business, as they are in a tight race for the Shield final, most likely needing to beat Tasmania at the Gabba in a match starting today.
"We have got the makings of a pretty strong dynasty,'' Hartley said.
"We feel we have plenty of areas we need to improve, and if we are still winning trophies while playing a bit inconsistently, that can only be a good thing.''
"That is pretty motivating and exciting for what the group can do if we play to our potential.''
The magnitude of claiming every domestic cricket trophy really hit home to Hartley when he posed for photos at Allan Border Field, adjacent to Queensland Cricket headquarters.
"Having the trophies right here in front of me, and physically holding them all at the same time, is a great feeling and a reminder of all the hard work that has gone into things,'' he said.
Holding all three domestic trophies at the moment is testament to the good things we are doing as a group.''
"It is another indictment on Australian selectors that there were no Queensland Bulls in the Test XI flogged in Hyderabad, despite the state's stunning success in the past 12 months."
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

Well, I thought that the 3rd test was automatically going to be heading for a draw after the first day washout, Australia have ended day 2 at 273/7.
Performance enhancing drugs in sport? Someone please find some and throw a few handfuls at the Australian team.
Those that remembered to do their 'homework' will do to start with.
What a shambles.........how long to the Ashes?![]()

I didn't say that was Gen Y. I said that was the Aussie cricket team.
Yes, it was a bit of a generalisation, which generally speaking, I don't generally do.
Still with India at 283/0 in answer to Australia's 408 at the end of day 3, looks like things have swung back in favour of a draw.
On the radio this a.m. Pup came out with this piece of profound wisdom
"Spin will play a decisive role in the outcome of this test" i.e. the 4th!
I wonder how long it took him & Mickey A. to work that out![]()
