It does sound like an escapee, if it's alone and hanging around and you are feeding it!!:) We have Rainbow Lorikeets over here (NSW)who regularly visit our backyard and they are in flocks of a dozen or so birds. Birds ( that is, Lorikeets etc) in their natural habitat do tend to flock together, as do most animals including humans.

I would agree it's probably an escapee immature Indian Ringneck.

We already have plenty of introduced "pest" birds from the eastern states.

Rainbow and SB lorikeets are a big problem - wineries in the swan valley pay professional shooters to help control them.

Corellas are also plentiful, though not native to the west coast...

Either a young one or a hen.The males often take a couple of years before they get a ring.

We had a female King parrot hanging around our conure the other day.Definitely an escapee as it was very tame.

Looks like a female King parrot, the male is red and green, regards Frank.

I think an immature or female Alexandrine? Looks a bit big to be a Indian Ringneck, although it could be.
