    Smile Tasmanian Inspection

    Hi Guys,

    Bit of a lurker here, but Ive been trying to buy a FFRR or a RRS for quite a while (got sidetracked in an x5 for a bit!) and have found a decentish one in Tasmania for a bargain.

    I need to get it inspected as I am in WA and probably wont bother coming across to look over it.

    Can anyone tell me of any reputable and reliable inspection services in Launceston ?

    Also the car is a White 02 FFRR, on the off chance anyone knows of it ?

    The link was up for a day, I put a deposit down and it was removed. Its currently having the g/box recon'd.
    This is the work I know has been done (have service docs from dealer)

    New turbo
    New fuel pump
    New Alternator
    Intercooler flush
    Boost Solenoid repair

    Im guessing having him drive 800km return probably wont work out the best ?

    Is there anyone in Launceston ?

    Possibly use Gold Star Automotive, they at least have Autologic etc.
    It is less than a 400KM round trip to Launceston from here, but allow a whole day to get up, inspect, and get back. And unless there is a hoist etc available it won't be as thorough as I would like it to be.

    Gday OZ contact Chris here in Launceston Automotive IQ if you ring him iam sure he could do what you would like, he is brilliant and also is a landy nut and drives a TD5 fender (bit like JC ) dont bother contacting goldstar you would be over charged for service not very acceptable HMMMM yes we got stung with them.

    No prob JC, we are great thankyou very much, i got my ECU back from Paul (OFFTRACK) he de-bricked it and works perfect, thankyou for sugesting Paul. If you give Chris a call probably better off on his mobile early evening and a bloody good chance he will still be at the office with head under a bonnet, he is a hell of a lot like you in the way he is with workman ship and he knows about you and and youre work ethics . Iam going to do a map for his fender as he took mine for a drive after i did the new ecu with the v10 flash, he came back from the drive with a very big smile and saidf thats the way they should come from the factory .

    Sounds good OZ please mention i refered you, tell him Mark with the D2 from the council recomended you
