Christening the new Rooftop Tent

I looked seriously at the Hannibal rooftents when still in the UK, when compared to the rest they just looked to be heavier duty & better made. I have a few bits of hannibal kit (boxes & bags etc) but nothing major.

As I have the expedition rack, the chap I spoke to at Nene Overpriced reckoned the rooftent couldn't be fitted, but the awning had half a chance of staying put. I'll look at getting one of those I reckon, I'll just need to have a better look "in the fabric" so to speak at how they attach and see if I can come up with a mounting for the expedition rack.

Jezza, 100kph winds and a rooftop tent! Was it like sleeping on a boat? Or was the wind from the bow? ;-)

Not as much as I would have thought The wind came from the side and then swung around to the Bow, the car did not rock much! I was very suprised at how still it was! we had a little bit canvas movment but as they are so tight it was minimal.

We have had 2 occasions away, with heavy rain and winds and every time the hannibal tent as stood up to the weather, a few years back we were on the hill, at castle hill, 80/100K winds, yes it was a little noisy outside, but the tent and awning were still standing in the morning, other people were not so lucky.

This year we were also in beautiful.:angel: Yunta poor conditions, but we were safe in the hannibal tent...
