Yeh, I think that would be best also. Camping there would also be great. The good thing is you can head up or down the river, avoiding the lake altogether (a bit boring I thought).Quote:

I cant remember the name of the creek, but it is accessed from the Cooloola Way via a power line track to a pumping station and weir.
Launched the canoe there and paddled 6 k's to the Noosa R opposite Camp 13 (I think) then paddled down to Harry's over a couple of days with a mate. It was very enjoyable even though it rained for a lot of it.
A nice walk to the sand blow from Camp 3 also.
Ranga, did the hirers know how many where going in the canoe?
