I've missed something...

That's one where I'm pleased to say, as someone who couldn't work it out for a while, that posting pics has already been made easier.
1. Hit 'Post Reply'. Scroll down to 'Manage attachments". Click it.
2. When the box opens, hit 'Browse' and find the pic you want to post. Double click it, then click 'Upload' and wait till it uploads.
3. Return to the main box. Enter explanatory text. Hit 'Submit Reply' and you're done.
Hi Inc,
One thing I used to find really handy was that if I typed in "aulro.com" it took me to the main forum page and if I typed in "www.aulro.com" it took me to the home page. It's just a little thing that I've missed for awhile. The other thing that would be great would be to truncate the stickies as somebody else has already mentioned. Probably not possible with the ones in the General category but in the other categories something might be able to be done.
ahhh, stickys.
a great idea that doesnt work
the problem with stickys is nobody reads them,,,
IF everybody abided by the joining acceptance clauses we wouldnt need most of them.
We are very lucky as a web site, we have LOTS of members who dont mind explaining (politely even;)) to newbies (and some old bushies who should know better---) how things are done around here,,
a self-moderating feature I (WE!) am eternally gratefull for:cool:
and yes,,
lots of discussion in the mods pen about sticky reduction;)( and where to put awning threads, and spam and rude vids and------------)
hmm I don't have a sticky solution, but can say that I know where they are, what they're used for and yet I haven't read most of them.
I'm just keeping moderators in a job. I know they appreciate it. ;)
I read Inc's announcement about the addition of the Google search facilities at the bottom of the page. A lot of people obviously didn't.
At one stage there was a frame around them. I assume that was an attempt to draw attention to them. That has now gone.
It seems that people find that method of searching works well. Is there some other way to make it harder to miss the existence of that facility ?
I hadn't noticed it either. I look for Search functions at the top, where most websites place them, not at the bottom.
