Waether might be ok under General Chat, as it's not something that is discussed all the time? (at least in my short time here!) :)
I'd be curious to see the opinions of the long time AULRO 'residents' :)

I dont mean just for natural disasters. but quite often if there is a storm someone will start a thread and being such a big country there is quite often some wild weather happening somewhere. I have seen a lot of threads about weather and instead of them clogging up general chat I think it could nearly have its own section. Just my opinion
if you can fix the "glitch" that has that little rectangle sub screen open in every page that is half blank half error that would be great. I have to click on quote just to read a reply because it covers have of that reply up
For a weather thing, why not just subscribe to the BOM updates or the option of having current weather on your desktop? :)
Or maybe just a "Weather" thread that's a sticky in general chat where people can post updates, warnings, etc. :)
Kind of like the spotted threads, but with the weather :)
I should cler up what i said when i said clogging up i dont mean that i find it a waste of time.
In fact I really like the weather related threads and wouldnt mind posting a fw of my own every now and then.
coming from a farming family we get phone calls every night asking about the weather at your place. we live about 10kms apart so its normally the same but anyways.
Just to drag up an old thread...
I couldn't be bothered going through every post, but did anyone suggest a simple database of who owns what vehicle? Nothing too extravagant, but that would give at least admins the ability to see who owns what. Would make very interesting stats, and good for broadcasting information (with an opt-in feature) eg all Defender owners could get an email/PM informing them of Defender day?
Also, a database of every component for each vehicle, and suggested replacement parts. I'm about to replace the bushes in my 130, and it would be good to have a one-stop shop to see what options there are.
Just my 2c worth... ;)
I just have done a search in Google about bushes in a Defender and the first link on the page was this:

AULRO is good even when a search is not done in their page :)
My answer to this is still a Wiki.

Also, I've just had another idea for an improvement to Dave's IT shop. I'm about to buy a new laptop and if I sell my old one, I will no longer have any CD drive in the house. The workshop manual CD's could be sold on USB sticks or a download link after payment? USB sticks are much nicer than CD's IMO anyway. They would be more expensive, but then people like me won't have a choice soon. Even if I had a CD drive, I would prefer a USB stick.
