    Tyre Advice

My son needs new shoes for his Falcon. Size being 215 60 16. I can get him tyres for $100 or $150. Does anyone know the difference between cheapies and more expensive ones?

He is still a uni student relying on a small income.

When it comes to my own 2x2 I always go for the cheapies and have never had problems. How long they last, I would not know. When they wear out I just get new ones.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Grip, handling and braking are my major concerns, tyre life is secondary to this.

Consider that those 4 pieces of rubber hold your life in their little round belted construction and you may view things slightly differently.

Cheap is only cheap for a reason... Somewhere they are saving money!

I would suggest going with a more known brand - whichever you choose

Tombie is right, my falcin and my comodore ute take the same size tyres, but i pay ~$130 for the commodore and ~$260 for the falcons tyres.... Commodores tyres are fine for normal driving but are on the limit, I wouldnt put them on the falcon....

The commodores tyres break traction with little provocation from the v6, the toyos on the falcon need outright abuse from a v8
