At the least you need to go and have a chat with him,or his boss if he is not an owner operator. You do need all the info, date, time & place, if you can get that as well.
Good luck![]()
My GPS in my 6.0l Calais records maximum speeds, I was just looking at it today and I've sprung my mechanic driving it at 212km/h.
I'm yet to identify the location, but what do you think I should do with this information?
Any ideas?

I second Scarry. The guy has been rather foolish to say the least, and a quiet word in his ear without drama will usually fix things, rather a blow up session where there are then two aggrieved parties.
Your mechanics attitude then will determine, if any, the action to be taken.
Maybe a free service???

After a trip to Vic in the Forester, I checked the GPS and found it had recorded me travelling at over 200km/h near the GOR. I know I hadn't so you might want to be really confident that it is accurate first.

As others have said - do nothing until you have had a good look at the data, GPSr can record a spurious position and give some dodgy speeds to that spurious position and back to the real track. the GPS in the work hilux at ~305kph.

My GPS gives a transiet High Speed readout when I exit a tunnel, I think it calculates tunnel speed at 80% of speed limit, so if you get through the tunnel sooner than expected, it gives a momentarily high speed reading.
My GPS is just a cheap ALDI unit in a Defender, so there's no chance I could ever achieve such speeds. Your unit may be more complex, but a single, transient reading is most likely to be a glitch.
