Look what happened to me today

First one I have collected, the TPMS worked well.

Just exploring some new tracks, so when this happened we had to back pedal unfortunately, we were on to a very interesting challenge

Which brand TPMS are you running Richard. I'm planning to throw a set in mine after doing a tyre going up to Kalgoorlie for the weekend a little while back. Caught it at Hines Hill before it had gone completely flat - but enough damage done to inside wall to warrant replacing it ,,,,,,,,,
    Cheers .........

What breed of tyre was that? Not very robust sidewalls, don't you agree? That's why I have 6 ply on mine,I've had too many of the popular brands staked.

Need to be careful with ply ratings these days as with radials, there are different plys in the tread area to the side walls and it is usually the tread ply that is quoted.
Really need to look at the overall construction of the tyre.

Its not the same system as mine,,
unless he's already swapped it to the spare--
    must be internal?

that stake would be through the tread section plies anyway,,

I've had a very similar puncture with a Simex. I don't think it matters how strong a tyre is when one of those thing decides to got through it.

It's an Inawise, internal sensor, didn't have much time to warn me the air went very quickly
The tyre is a BFG A/T, never had a problem in 3 sets, and I use my vehicles in some very solid 4 wheel driving
