    FAB - Thunderbirds are gone!

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

They used to show the Thunderbirds on TV each morning at 6am. When as a student nurse in the 1970s working on night duty I used to sit in the day room writing my reports and watching the show. When the show finished I just had time to do the drug round and then hand over to the morning shift at 7.30am.

And Stingray, and Joe 90, and Space 1999 (love them Eagle spacecraft).

I've been slowly collecting DVD's of the "Gerry Anderson" shows.

    Gerry Anderson

I met him. He did a lecture tour of the UK in support of the remastering of Thunderbirds. A really nice guy whose creations were a cornerstone of my youngest days. Look at Thunderbirds again and it stands up really well and that music is a stirring as ever. Finally, compare Skyflash (Thunderbirds) with Skylon (real life but drawing board for now). RIP Gerry, you made Saturday morning for me.

I remember the Thunderbirds, very well and it is sad that Gerry Anderson has passed away.

I also remember a D-Generation Parody of the Thunderbirds that was done many years ago.
