Didn't you realise that today's cars are not a mode of transport, they are an extension of the lounge chair. Where the girl puts her feet up on your coffee table. What about the cars where they hate to turn the A/C on and like orang a tans hang their arms out to catch the breeze.

It's funny that the media is carrying on about these acts (and yes they are silly), but no-one has asked how the photo was taken by a driver doing 100-110km/h on the highway/freeway..........

You're to smart/intelligent/observant to be contributing to this thread.
How dare you try to cast dispersions on someone who is trying to make or roads safer by risking life and limb to take photo's of someone doing the wrong thing.

Some years ago, a photographer employed by a newspaper took a photo of a woman driving with a child sitting on her lap. This photo made front page in a Melbourne newspaper. This resulted in the woman being charged and taken to court which the newspaper followed. No mention was made that, in order to take the photograph, the photographer had to exceed the speed limit to get into a suitable position to take the photo, had to take his hands off the wheel and eyes off the road whilst driving at speed to get the camera out of the bag and ready (it was a mechanical film camera, not an electronic point and shoot), and had to take his hands off the wheel and eyes off the road whilst driving at speed to take the photograph. The photographer justified his actions with the results. I think there are far too many people using double standards nowdays.

Yes, I have driven with my foot out the door. In a car without cruise control or air conditioning if that makes any difference. I survived and so did the other drivers in the vicinity at the time.
