i loved the rebel in him... who else would have had the balls to tell david hookes his balls hadnt dropped!
RIP tony
I was absolutely gutted when i heard that Tony Greig died today. I knew he was ill but I was expecting hi to be around for a bit longer.
As kids he was probably our favourite commentator , we use to go around the house saying right in the block hole and room
commentary will never be the same again.

Yes,
Love him or loath him he did stuff for cricket.

A sad loss but it does pose an awkward question...
...if he gets cremated, who gets to keep his ashes???
M
I always loved it when him and Bill Lawey, would get stuck into each other and the way Billy Birmingham would take the mickie out of him. It just wont be the same watching cricket without him.
Cheers Jeff
Yep a sad day for cricket.

yes sadly missed. I think the days of on air banter are long gone
Will they spread his ashes down a crack in the MCG pitch?
A very sad day, some people you just never think of no longer being around, he was one of them.
This is a big loss for sport one of the best.![]()
RIP Tony Greig.
Your passionate commentary will be missed. One of the all time great cricketers and cricket commentators.
