Thread: Another hottie coming up

I think people have lost sight of a little truth, judging by the number of "suck it up" type comments. You see, people live in places like Darwin, Coober Pedy, Karratha, FNQ, etc, etc despite the weather. People live in Perth (or even can extend that to "the South West") because of the weather. The recent heat that everyone here is complaining about was a 70 year record, not the usual weather of places I would not choose to live. How long since you had a 70 year record of weather pattern broken?

Mind you, I don't mind the heat (grew up living in Kenya as a kid) and it's a damn sight better than cold rain and hot humidity I left behind across the Tasman! I love it here!
