As long as the crack is only on the one layer of glass there should be no problems lasting another week or so. When I cracked coach top deck screens (about 2metres by 1 metre curved glass- about $1200 fitted in late 1999) I always waited until just before my machinery was due before I replaced it. Your screen should be curved so will be pretty strong even with only the one layer holding.
I am always loath to replace glass in modern vehicles as the screen itself is often an integral part of the stressing of various panels and unless it is done by someone who really understands glass and stress (and I am talking about structural stress here, not the modern day interpretation of being "slightly worried!!") then there is a pretty good chance it will leak in the future. Most stress panels are fitted hot so that they will contract when cooled down and this generally isn't an option when roadside glass fitters do the job.
Best of luck
Regards
Glen

If you can keep it in the shade the progress of the crack will be minimized.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
To claim against 3rd parties you must show they were negligent.
O' Briens will replace at your location - I had my RRS screen replaced in October and they did it on my front lawn and it only took 20 minutes.
Also my insurance company (Allianz) replaces like with like and as I still had the original Opticool screen it was replaced with the same - not all screens are the same.
The whole process was quite painless.

both the other versions of the caddy screen they will do onsite but not mine unless there is absolutely no alternative they say.
they had to get vw to check what version screen it had via a vin lookup. all a bit complicated for a screen i thought..
anyway happy to wait and get it done properly (one hopes)
