    G'day Les,

Just like Australians are reputed to be the only nation of people who kill and eat the animals that appear on their national emblem. The Kangaroo and the Emu. They are Yummy Yummy too!

How many kangaroos and emus are shot as pests and left to rot and a very useable resource is wasted. This is due to the poor economies involved in the costs of refrigeration, processing and transport to markets; certified processing plants, the need to segregate the kill floor or have specialist processing areas and fuel/freight costs involved in reaching domestic and international markets + quarantine and meat quality restrictions imposed by other countries. There is/was a baker in Gin Gin Queensland who made/makes a wide variety of emu pies which are/were a sheer delight to eat.

    Kind Regards
    Lionel

Ha. I don't think we have much of a chance to see 'Hogburgers at MacD's or Kentucky Fried Groundhog around here any time soon!
