    Cooma Fires, burnt Disco!

    Hi All
Australia has been hit hard by fires and floods this Christmas and my area, Cooma, was in the thick of it for a few weeks. Prior to Christmas I picked up a S1 for spares and had it parked on a mates place ready to strip out. It had rego and I drove it back from Victoria so apart from a rough interior ( it's been cleaned up a little !! ) it was pretty good. The Yarrabin fires started less than 1km away and after three attempts the fire took out my mates place and my Disco. It took out 15 other vehicles and 12000 hectares so our loss was insignificant in the scheme of things. Still annoying though! Anyway, here are a few images in case you have never seen what's under the skin of a Disco. Enjoy.

The Falcon was a forthcoming project. genuine 90000 miles and apart from a bit of rust was very tidy. Interior now toast although the aluminium pipes stored on the roof were untouched. the side of the car near the shed was severely heated as were the contents of the shed, $55k and counting.

No insurance unfortunately as it was a parts wagon. Will be selling bull bar, maybe the box and diffs are OK, will need to check. If so they will be for sale too at a good rate, buyer assumes risk! the rest is scrap and makes for some good back ground images on the lap top. Not a nice way for the car to end its days.
