Pretty sure it was used for showing tourists around Strahan and had rollers so it could drive along the wilderness railway line.

It was in car sale a few months ago. It did have rail wheels attached to it so it could do tours of an old tassie railway. The duelies were because when the rails wheels were down the wheel width was not wide enough on tight corners and the road wheels would leave the track.

It has been in here before.

That's the one. The vehicle was used by the West Coast Wilderness Railway for their "Piners and Miners" tour. It had hi rail gear fitted which was used to run along the rail line before jumping off and heading into the Teepookana plateau. The dual wheels at the back were purely fitted so the rear wheels didn't fall off the rail line and stop driving the vehicle (drive is delivered through the road wheels rather than through the hi rail wheels, even on the rail line).

It was modified by Hobart firm Vinaka Pty Ltd. 6 doors, 4 rows of seats, it runs parabolic leaf springs at the back, but it's still coil sprung at the front. It's Td5 powered.
