    SEVERE WEATHER WARNING for DAMAGING WINDS, HEAVY RAINFALL and DANGEROUS SURF

    For people in parts of the Wide Bay and Burnett andSoutheast Coast Forecast Districts.
    Issued at 3:37 pm Monday, 18 February 2013.
    Synoptic Situation: At 3pm AEST Monday, a slow moving surface trough and an associated weak low pressure system were situated offshore of the central coast of Queensland. The low is expected to move in a south to southeast direction parallel to the Queensland coast before deepening further off the Fraser coast during Tuesday.

    Heavy rain, which may lead to flash flooding, is expected to occur about coastal and adjacent inland areas between Burnett Heads and the Gold Coast for the remainder of today and into Tuesday. 24 hour totals of 100mm to 200mm are likely, with isolated totals in excess of 200mm possible.

    Currently, the heaviest rain is located on radar just inland of the coast stretching from Double Island Point to Beenleigh. Wamuran recorded 35mm of rain in the 1 hour to 3pm this afternoon. Cooloolabin Dam on the Sunshine Coast hinterland recorded 83mm, Maroochy Intake Weir 78mm, Maleny 68mm and Beerwah 66mm since 9am this morning.

    Locations that may be affected include Bundaberg, Hervey Bay, Gympie, Fraser Island, the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

    Been raining steadily here in south Brissie since mid-morning, heavy at times. Might have to leave the Yaris at home tomorrow and take the Disco.

    rained here pretty heavy last night, we were supposed to get heavy rain all day but it eased. just getting showers now.

    I am just up the road from Incisor's place and since Friday we have had

    Friday 9am-9pm =30mm 30mm
    and from 9pm Friday until 9am Saturday =72mm 72mm
    Saturday = light 5mm 05mm
    Sunday 9am-9pm =95mm 95mm
    Monday-9pm --8pm =20mm 20mm
