In my late teen years, or in my early twenties, I went to the Doctor with a very painful neck. He ordered X-rays and so I was diagnosed with degeneration of the C4/5 disc. Doctor told me they could not do anything, and eventually my spine would have to be fused and I would suffer pain for the rest of my life.

But later X-rays did show that nothing was wrong with my discs, in other words I was healed. And I did have both sets of X-rays, but lost them when we moved many years back.

Now whether it was prayer or a fairly healthy life style/vegitarian diet, I cannot really say, but do say you can be healed of such damage. My body healed itself.

Your body has marvelious restoritive powers if you do treat it right.

But if you treat it wrong/wrong lifestyle choices and it may not heal. Do not expect healing of your disc if you do mistreat your body.

I too had such a miraculous recovery. I had an accident involving a revolving hat stand, a drinking straw and a particularly sharp slice of mango, meaning that I lost both legs below the knee. Thanks to a diet solely consisting of wheatgrass, goji berries and alphabetti spaghetti (though I could only eat the Ls the Es the Gs and the Ss) for several years, my legs grew back. Unfortunately I cannot prove it, as the only photos I have from that period only show me from above the waist.

I shall endeavour not to mistreat my body John. My wife has now bought me a pair of boxing gloves to wear at night to ensure that is the case.

As a matter of interest is Workcover pushing you to have the op with veiled threats of witholding payment if you don't and threats to not clear you to return to work without having the op. A friend's wife has the same injury. She is a cleaner and collapsed in pain when sliding a table around to mop. Her Workcover rep was making these threats then denied it until the recording was played back to her. Workcover is now humming and haring about the cost of the op, $17,000 plus.
Dare I say it, that is why we have unions. People knock them, until they need them . Bit like the military, really. Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

    Dave,
Backs can be bad news !!
I hope ( but not pray ) that yours gets better quickly !!
As others have said, do your research, I have lived with a bad back for over 40 years & I'm reliably told that once you have surgery the Chiro's etc can't be as effective.
Took me about 6 Chiropractors, b4 I found a good one... or perhaps they were all good - but not for me..

Physios are much the same - the first one I had was mediocre, and that's being kind. The second one has been phenomenal. The first one I chose because the practice was close by, the second was a glowing recommendation.

I wonder if all that will fix my pancreas?

Vern, try my alphabetti spaghetti approach. It is truly miraculous. You just have to make sure you only eat the appropriate letters.

Plus it's only 60c a tin from Woolies. Cheaper than anything on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme, and you don't have to commit yourself to any variety of afterlife.

Just before anyone asks, yes I did try the alphabetti spaghetti approach with my back.

As I dragged some of the Ds, the Is, the Ss and the Cs together towards the bottom of my plate, I noticed that the letters that were left spelled "Nah, it's ****ed".

I've got what my doctor refers to as nurses back, it's a mix of 15 years as a spanner man for Ford and 35 years looking after mental health patients, the last 10 years only with mechanical aids. Good luck and I hope all goes well, back pain is so debilitating and depressing, it defiantly needs inner strength and an understanding Doctor to treat it, hope all goes well.
