Add to that the the 4BD1 is probably the best donk that's been put in a landrover for a long time, easy to see why you could assume a well set up perentie will last longer than a puma.
Ever been in the bush lately?,my TDCi is doing fine thanks. Pat

    Every week mate.
Never said it wasn't, never said the Puma wasn't more refined, or in any way a sub-standard vehicle.
It's just that the perentie is a more bush ready vehicle.
Show me a Puma with a million kms +, then I'll rethink my argument.

Million km remark wasn't about the perentie, it's about the engine.
Perhaps I should have said "Show me a TDCi with a million KM."
This isn't intended to get into a slanging match, or some sort of ****ing contest. But if you want a simple, reliable, easy to fix bush vehicle, Perentie tops Puma IMHO (key words)
    Cheers

But if the prices come down they would make a excelent second car
    so you're admitting it?

    the pumas a girls car.

I thought that was common knowledge.

Land Rover have had Deluxe door trim since 1956, and even with door trim on a perentie there would still be more leg room than in a Puma or other Defender.

Remember door trim means less internal noise, one of the big disadvantages of the 4BD1 engine.
