Next time though.....
So who bought one and how does it feel.

Thanks Bob, missed that one. But with the interest indicated here surely there was more than one purchased by AULRO members. Surely???? Anyone going to own up. Very interested to find out what condition the vehicle was in and whether the low mileage ones were genuine k's. With online auctions you can't "see" all the small things that indicate a vehicle's condition.
Cheers......Brian

The ones the recon regiment in Newman have are in what I would class as A1 condition and none have more than 5,000K's on the clock since they were refurbished. Pat
The odo is probably accurate, if you recall that the fleet were being remanufactured to extend their life a couple of years ago so the odo would be correct since remanufacture. I wonder the extent of remanufacturing, did it involve full engine rebuild including liners, pistons etc; new CVs, gearbox internals and do forth or somewhat less?
LOL I dont think its not anyone owning up, i think its members just know to much and arnt going to shell out that silly coin, give it a year or so and thay will come back on the marjket one by one for about 1/2 the price
What money are people paying for these vehicles. Anyone know? Why would you pay big money for them, when the new 2013 defender seems a far better vehicle? Nostalgia fogs the brain, sometimes. Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food
A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
This,
As someone who drives a 110 County as a daily. I think alot of these buyers aren't really prepared for what they are getting into. once the wow factory wears off you have to live with a Hot, Noisy, non-aircondition verhicle that vibrates like crazy, has no power steering and can't get into just about every underground carpark
I still love mine tho, but all my friends think I'm mad
