Different strokes for different folks, if the perentie is your go, good for you, if not, good for you you too. I have had a conversion on the road to Damascus. Instead of lusting after a Defender, breaking commandments 1 & 10, I have decided to be faithful to my Disco, and spend any spare cash on her. Anything to keep SWMBO happy. Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

One of my brothers is an absolute LR tragic, has a massive amount of knowledge that he could share on here.

Has rebuilt LR's for the last 30yrs,has a lot of experience in 4WDing,way more than me.

Has he ever been on here?
    Hardly ever.
Wouldn't have had more than two looks in the last 12 months.

Just not really interested in forums.

This is now going off topic.

The problem with this and other forums is: those who know read stuff writted by people who think they know and many of the people who know don't stay because of they feel there is nothing they can learn or they don't suffer fools easily.

    I guess that's life.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

    G'day Folks
One only has to remember when the first of the remedial vehicles (TD5 8 seater hardtops) were auctioned off in Brisbane in Oct 2011 first vehicle sold had 29.000klms and price was close to that, the rest went to a dealer group which then showed up in yards at $39K and I am aware of one from the SA auction now in Qld priced at $32K

    cheers

Have we seen a pitcha of one yet or any physical evidence?

If you want a top flight Turbo Isuzu with all the fruit ( lockers , air cond etc etc etc ) in A1 condition. I know of one coming up for around $23K i think he said. Sounds like a lot but everything damn thing has been done and fixed on it.

I've seen one getting around Canberra in the last couple of weeks. Not unusual to see a Perentie in the ACT but this one has civilian rego plates so I assume it's one from the recent auctions.
