My drive looked like this earlier in the week :( Fences down again and lots of tree trunks inherited again, so I'm definitely over it.
Please send some rain to Cloncurry. We have had the driest summer on record. The local beef producers are saying that if they don't get good rain in the next week they will have to start destroying cattle because there is no water for them and they will die. You can see the cattle are already perishing when you drive past them. Doesn't look good.
Cheers,
Danial.
Send her down here Huey,
we had 8.5 mm a couple of nights ago and before that it was back in June or July when we had our last significant fall. Tanks are low, the ground is dry and the trees are dropping leaves.
Not that we want torrential downpours and floods, we had that a few years back and it was devastating, but a nice steady fall of 30-50mm over a few days or a week would be fantastic!
Cheers, Mick.
Has anyone tried the "Thundershirts" or similar products on their dogs?
We have a Terrier that becomes absolutely petrified when thunder is about. Poor little fella almost dies of fright. A friend got us onto these
shirts/jackets and I was very sceptical, but decided to give it a go. Incredible results, I cannot believe how settled the dog is by just wearing a jacket. No more shaking and panting in fear, he just rests and occasionaly looks about if there is a huge clap of thunder. The more often he wears it the better he seems to be.
Cheers, Mick.

Well we have had over 50” since the beginning of February.
We had 83mm between 4 pm yesterday and about 12:30 PM today, when my wife emptied the gauge.
Since 12:30 ( 1 hour, 20 minutes ago ), we have now had 25mm, exactly 1”
