    2.4 Puma

Hi all I have a 2010 2.4 puma powered defender 110 wagon. recently I had a 3" stainless exhaust and a roo systems chip fitted. Horse power gain was up fron 73.3 to 101.3 and torque went up 179ft lbs to 239 ft lbs, happy withn the extra power but now I keep getting check engine alarms, first was EGR valve which Austral Landrover in Brisbane checked and cleared and also updated the computer with the lasted software upgrades. By the time I arrived back in Townsville another alarm had come up, Tony Ireland checked it this time fuel pressure sensor alarm.
Just wondering if anyone else has had a similiar problem, when we disconnect the chip no alarm as soon as you reconnect it the alarms come up, i spoke to roo systems and they have advised me to reset the chip to setting 3 ( there are 10 settings in the chip) and see what happens thats ok but everytime you go to get the computer reset it costs money, I might have to get a scanguage so I can check the alarms and reset them myself. We have done plenty of Klms towing a camper through remote areas with no issues up till now only reason we got the chip fitted is we bought a new camper which weighs in around 2 ton and wanted a bit of extra grunt. Still waiting to get the car back getting a new ignition switch fitted so we will see what setting 3 does . Roo systems are a reputable company and their products seem to be one of the better ones but whether they are Landrover compatible ? stay tuned I will let you know

If the "Chip" upgrade is the cause of the problem, Roo systems should rectify it free of charge, surely it is covered by their warranty, Regards Frank.

X 2, If you've had no problems prior to, or with the chip turned off/disconnected, then it's their problem under warranty.

X3, Glenno is always stating it won't ruin your factory warranty. I'd imagine fault codes indicate some factory setting are being stressed. Glenno also states he tunes are SAFELY within factory setting.

Get them to do the twigging, as Glenno also states they have spent 1000's of hours testing, so why is yours playing up?
