After an interesting weekend navigating our way through Monga SF, Corn Trail area, Merricumbene & Mongamula Tracks we headed south to discover a great Bakery & Pie shop at Nimmitibel.

We then entered the SE Forest via Nunnock Swamp & travellled a little further on to Alexander's Hut -a beautiful spot where we spent the night and a lazy morning, taking in the 5km walk before leaving. Cattlemans Link track joins Cattlemans track which doesn't quite follow my topo map but joins Postmans and as you say is well signposted. We then came out via Postmans Campsite, another lovely spot before proceeding further south and exploring along the Victorian side of the border.

Nine days is just not long enough though so will be returning to the area in the not too distant future.

Cattlemans and Postmans tracks are currently undergoing extensive restoration thanks, according to those working on them, to an injection of flood relief funds. Can't quite figure that one out as there didn't appear to be too much flood damage to the tracks. When they've finished those tracks will be soft roader or maybe even 2WD friendly.
