Anyway, that's a good point about tyres. It would be a good idea to call a few places and see if the tyres you've got are a special order or what. (I've been using Bridgestones for years, partly because I like them, and also because there's a Bridgestone shop in Broome that's been great to deal with. So if I was stuck somewhere I could get them shipped from there pretty easily.) And yes, driving too fast on corrugations will destroy your car very quickly, a true tourist mistake if ever there was.
