    Cumberland River Holiday Park

Deb and I are going to stay down at Cumberland River Holiday park near Lorne for Easter with some good friends . I surfed a lot down that way in my youth but was looking for some advice on things to do and see whilst we there this time. Some easy to medium 4WD with interesting end points and scenery would be helpful.

I'll see if i can dig it up but 10 years ago some mates and my wife and i went camping on oz day weekend down that way and found some nice easy tracks including one that follows the cliff tops and runs parallel to the great ocean rd thru some sheep paddocks and sand dunes.

Sounds like Old Coach Road, between Moonlight Head and Princetown. Always a good drive without being too hard, some good walks down to the beaches along the way.

Also could be the track from Joanna Beach, I think it heads west from the campground. I haven't done this track but sounds like what you're describing from what I've heard about it.

    Pete,
I'm not surprised you didn't get into the Cumberland, it's very popular.
Even at Glenaire you might struggle to get a spot if you don't get there early.

    Princetown

If you haven't booked anywhere by now, you probably wont get into any van parks now for Easter. You'll probably need to go further afield down the coast. Mind you, anywhere on the coast is awesome

I think your right Murray. I've done some of this track, and its not bad.
Its accessed through the Rec Reserve just past the Princetown "township" turnoff. The reserve itself is quite good to stay at, excellent amenities etc, and of course you get to watch all the roo's in the mornings and evenings.

Thanks Guys . First in best dressed at Aire River. Noo bookings .There is an East and West campground apparently. Any knowledge of which is best. We will head down on the Thursday. We have a camper trailer and our friends a caravan. Will check out both those cliff top drives though. Sounds good
