    Posting big photos..

Ok, I've put this in general chat not Computers and I.T as I need laymens/simple descriptions as to how to attach the nice big photos that we see on here. I use an IPad 90% of the time, and it only posts thumbnails... (And some of those want to load upside down... Not by choice!!). Help please!!

get a photobucket or flickr account and the free app for the ipad to suit and host them there, you can get the code and just copy and paste it into a post then.

    hope it helps

Photo bucket.... Urrrrgggghhh! No thanks, been there! Don't have the patience for that when other sites just work! The evil Facebook is easy as! Even EBay allows you to send photos without having to muck around! Think I'll stick to thumb nails! Cheers tho!

    Sitec,

I'm not allowed access to photo sharing sites as I'm at work, so here's what I do, please bear in mind I do this on Windows 7 and it works either in IE or Chrome. I haven't tried in Safari or using an Apple OS.

    1) Go to the "Manage attachements" button (which you can see below in the "Additional options" section when you're posting) and click it.

    2) In the pop-up window, upload the photos from your device. You can upload 5 per post. This tool will resize for you...I think....but they're still fairly large.

    3) Still in the window, click on each individual photo name and it should open a new tab for each one, with its own URL. Effectively, this is a photo storage device.

    4) Go to one of the pictures. Copy the whole URL.

    5) Go to your post and place the cursor where you want the image to go e.g. after a title or annotation for the image. Click on the "insert image" icon (looks like a wee yellow box with mountains and the sun in it). A small pop-up window will open.

    6) In the pop-up window, paste the URL and click "Select" or "Ok" (whatever button it might be).

    7) This should insert the actual image into your post where you want it and it'll also add the thumbnail at the bottom. I haven't figured out how to get rid of these yet!

    8) If you uploaded more than one picture in step (2), repeat steps (4-7) for each picture.

Let me know if it doesn't work.

    Bobby
