Good God, man, they are the standard that Hansard aspires to.
At any given point in time, somewhere in the world someone is working on a Land-Rover.

    Awesome blockbuster!
And this fast speaking Chuk Norris is very cool! But most of his speeches i didnt understand because of my bad english and his chirping... But anyway - he's my hero!
Oh, and this scene when the kid phones to his relatives - i almost started to cry...

Having been involved in quite a few recoveries, its seems very legit and common, those who have played in vic will know this sort of thing can happen

There was nothing I would call wrong in the situation, yea they made a vid of it and good on them for doing so

D2 most likely no CDL and road pressures with full sway bars can tip this easy

And for those poo pooing the pull up the hill, it takes alot of abuse to drag a dead weight up a track

I'm not giving them heaps for making a video. Seriously, the recovery, never mind driving in hills in the first place, is well beyond my abilities. It's the corny way they did it. You're missing an opportunity there, Matt - next time you're out take 8 or 9 cameras with you and you might give them some competition.

The best we helped on was a 75 series tray, he bolted on a set of Baja claws and though he'd climb one of the biggest local hills, he came down backwards, rolled, with 3 in the cab! and was propped by a sole gumtree, between the B pillar and the tray, which if it hadn't been there it most certainly would of been death for the occupants, me and another dude helped out with the recovery(mountain top experience in his series landy with chains and PTO winch, cue Hymie!), then I politely asked them to move the wreck, so we could cruise up the hill and as much as Pear did not want to, I convinced him to come back down so we could give them a wave and cruise on by, showing them how its done

The shreiking of you can't go up there! from the 20 odd onlookers, then the silence as we came back down was brilliant

nope they made a massive production out of what should have quite simply been

heres a rolled over vehicle, we're going to recover it.

This will be done in 2 phases, righting the vehicle, towing it to a point where it can be flat loaded.

for righting the vehicle in this situation, The equipment available is Thus, The safety concerns are so and the primary plan is.

    Recovery commence.

now the vehicle is righted the situation has changed, (repeat gear, safety, plan and execute) commence tow out...

The cowboying because "I forgot to select first" Kinda ruins the appeal of professionalism.

So? he selected the wrong gear, big woopy

Some will critiscise no matter what, that's just human nature I guess, most recovery jobs are NOT a "professional" job, it happens under duress, with stress and emotion invloved, element of suprise and all that

They recovered the vehicle, safely, what more is to be expected aside from the FIGJAM element others would like to add to it?
