I suppose this should be read in conjunction with my post on Women in the front line, by US Gen. Brady

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Note photo 41, even unopposed, the landing force lost many men to friendly fire, & over 100 missing! incredible.

My WWI veteran grandfather, the worst place to be on the battlefield was next to the Americans or being supported by US Artillery. He was with with Monash's 3rd Div when the septics joined them for their first taste of battle.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

If you haven't already, you MUST buy & read " MONASH , the outsider who won a War ", by Roland Perry. You will get a better understanding of your Grandfather, and no doubt, a better appreciiation of what they went thru. Monash was the best General in WW1. The updated edition contains new information from German Commanders, affirming the importance of the Battle of Amiens,in winning WW1, not bad for a German Jew, I'd say, Bob

    Yes indeed.
At any given point in time, somewhere in the world someone is working on a Land-Rover.
