Overseas suppliers seem to know we are getting a good deal and seem to bung up shipping but it is still cheaper than local.

Check the USPS (USA Post Office) web site. Look at flat rate boxes. Come in three sizes and two postage rates. A large flat rate box holds 20 lbs and costs US$72. Cheapest way of getting small items ex USA.

    re loneranger post

I think that if a few more Australian retailers were to offer SERVICE, that would help go a a long way to help the "shopnet" situation. Just an example..i sent an email to rovacraft at botany last week enquiring about some Mantec parts, heard nothing ,so i rang them " oh ,yeh she said, we are waiting to here from the UK "
I then emailed UK and rec'd quotes and shipping prices from them overnight..Had a e-mail chuckle with the salesman at the uk end when I mentioned my enquiry to the Botany seller. By the way, have yet to hear back from Rovacraft Botany. Will be buying from UK direct I suppose in the new year…...

I'm still doing a comparison on my thread here: 3M Strip Caulk 08578 in Australia?, because I got some sealant from the UK in two weeks, while the Wurth Australia order still hasn't arrived. Amazing.
At any given point in time, somewhere in the world someone is working on a Land-Rover.

And so the beat goes on.
I just had delivered today a Mr Funnel F15C from a motorbike dealer in the USA for A$106 landed with delivery from 4/1/2014 to today.

If you look on Ebay the Australian seller wants $308.99 with FREE delivery.!
