Bought one of these from my local LR dealer the other day. It's a retainer clip - fixes some trim around the dash in the interior of the D4.

I was expecting to pay maybe $1 thinking a fair price might be 30c given production cost probably can't be much more than 10c each.

Actual price, $7 each - jaw dropping.

You have to remember a Dealer don't make a huge profit on the sale of new cars, the money comes in from the Servicing and parts.
You'll also find that Land Rover has a fixed price that dealers need to sell an item for. D4, you shouldn't have already be replacing clips they should have lasted longer than that.

UES (Int'l) Pty. Ltd. have all those little clips and bits of body hardware for trimmers and smash repairers and restorers. They have branches in both Brisbane and Sydney and maybe elsewhere. Used to be known a M. O'Rourke in Brisbane and A.J.Sage in Sydney. Things that cost dollars at dealerships often cost less in box lots at UES.

Problem is they spring off and lodge gods knows where under the dash. You can't get your hands into some places to feel around for them.

Down size the shop and put the staff into the storeroom...

    Yep!

And hands up everyone here who wants their kids to grow up to be storemen...

Or hands up everyone who would be happy on under less than $40.00 an hour.....

Such intelligent people on this forum with such narrow vision...

    Get used to it.
We're already importing workers under the 457 visa system and pay them $3 per hour.
I work with 457's (nice people they are too). The company is downsizing. Who are going first? Those expensive Australian residents.

And those buying online and then complaining about 457 Visas...

Isn't that just "shopping for best price"?

Narrow minded views and short sighted plans abound on here at the moment it seems....

You're spot on mate.... And it's wrong!

My post above is sarcasm, but same deal...

Just wait until the others here are replaced by O/S labour or support.

    No-one is indispensable nowadays.
