I understand what you are saying Philip, but what about the examples below where the local company doesn't hold a particular item, but just orders it ex UK when they get an order then charge a 400 to 500% markup to do this for you? If the order takes 15 minutes to process, then 5 minutes to ring the customer when it arrives, then 5 minutes to take their money when they pick it up.
These items are bought in individually, so no container costs. Sould be just the duty and GST they are paying, so add their time and markup - that could double the price, but that's not what we are seeing. We are seeing the price move up by a factor of 4 or 5. That just doesn't make sense.
And that's assuming they pay what we do from OS - they probably get a discount to start with...
