Feral cats can get quite large certainly significantly larger than the average domestic moggie.
As for "big cats" aka mountain lions, panthers etc? MYTH
In the picture above I suspect the hair and teeth pronounced due to the dessication and subsequent shrinkage of the skin.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Feral cats have been known to be quite large.
I suspect that we could be seeing a form of Darwinism / survival of the fittest at work here, with larger specimens surviving and breeding.
This could especially be true in areas where the resident food source (marsupials, sheep, feral rabbits) is quite large as well.
We could see the emergence of the Australian Cougar !![]()
I've met a few Australian Cougars.
In the wild, the domestic cat grows quite large. Plenty of big'uns in the forests of Victoria.
I spoke to the vet who was sent to Lithgow by the then Dept Agriculture to investigate the big cat sightings there about 10 years ago.
He said he had no doubt there was a Puma there as he had found scats that were much bigger than any cat scat he had seen before, but he never got to see one even staking out the area for some time and the use of cameras.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food
A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
