Most suppliers will give you a quote for shipping.

With Land Rover Parts | Range Rover Spares - Accessories | Paddock , they take your money, pack the order, then work out postage. They'll send you an email with the freight costs, from there you can cancel or continue with the order.

Keep the goods under $1000 AU or you'll be paying extra duties and tax.

Retailers usually have a CONTACT US button.
I've used this before to get an estimate for freight.

Are you talking small stuff or something larger? As mentioned most UK parts suppliers will quote you freight for your order. Also as mentioned keep the order under $1000. If it is more than that, and more than one part, split the order up - it will still work out cheaper than paying duties when it gets here.

For heavier parts - like disks, etc I have found the freight can be almost the same price as the item, but it is still heaps cheaper than buying the same thing here.

Yes, it pays to shop around regarding freight charges.I think I paid £50 shipping on an Adwest steering box.Most offer a choice of manufacturer LRDirect,LRSeries,Britcar general consensus is to avoid Britpart.

Best to ring them first and get a freight quote especially if using Paddocks. They usually have a few options and the most expensive isn't necessarily the quickest.

Shockies are sometimes a problem.
Some retailers will ship, others won't.

At Christmas 2012 it cost me $320 to get 5 shocks delivered to my door in Rockhampton from Britcar-UK. The same shocks in Australia cost over $600 dollars ($127 each).

I have no issues with ordering gear from overseas and have been doing so for the last 6 years.

Pretty sure Britcar-UK would also have lift kits.
