10 isn't nearly enough but here are ours in no particular order. This is how our touring Defender is set up.
1 Bull bar
2 Tyres / suspension (mud tyres and good shocks / springs slight lift)
3 Communications (UHF and HF radios)
4 Long range fuel tanks (at least 1200km range)
5 Water tank with external tap
6 Cabin sound and heat insulation
7 Tools / spares and engine analyser
8 Recovery gear / winch ...
9 Dual Battery system
10 Boat / 4wd trailer (I call this a vehicle accessory as it goes most places the car goes)
Then there are others: a decent sound system, snorkel, rear storage, sliders, improver lights (Hid inserts / driving lights), rear work lights

Depends what you do or intend to do with your vehicle of course. I carry way more than ten but if you're forcing me to choose and assuming it's a Landy...

5. At least one snatch strap/tow rope and associated shackles for pulling out the poor commodore/falcon bogged on the island...along with some suitable comments;)
6. First Aid kit
7. Good tyres
8. As much interior light as possible
9. Led torch-at least 150 lumens
